I've been teaching for over 40 years. I started with preschoolers and also worked with an afterschool program. I was added to a family at the ripe old age of 25 and was blessed with two stepsons who were 5 and 7. I was a substitute teacher for several years and finally landed at a small, private, Christian preschool in Visalia, California as the director, substitute teacher, bringer of extra hugs, friend, and crazy sticker lady. Oh, and dog mom to Lil, who hangs out at school most days.
The phrase "It takes a Village" has been popping around in my head and then I saw a meme by YUM Actually that said, "I keep hearing it takes a village to raise a child. Do they just show up or is there a number to call?" In this age of technology, I thought I could share a bit of what I've learned in my almost 60 years of life. It might help...it might not.
